Grant Guidelines and Application

The Northern Rhode Island Area Health Education Center Program welcomes your proposal. Please take a few moments to read through our mission and the relationship of grant support. If your educational event is eligible, submit a proposal according to our proposal guidelines. Be sure to submit your proposal as specified, with all appropriate supporting materials. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year depending on the availability of funds, please contact nriAHEC Information Email to inquire

Grant Proposal Guidelines

Mission Statement

To foster academic, training, and community collaborations that benefit the public by improving the supply and distribution of a high quality, culturally sensitive, interdisciplinary work force that transcends barriers and supplies even the most vulnerable of people with the care they deserve.

Grant Support

Grants are available through RHODE ISLAND AHEC PROGRAM. All grant-funded education must support and strengthen our mission. The event must address known healthcare gaps and have a strong interdisciplinary and community-based focus where applicable.

Funding Criteria

Applicants must live or practice in Rhode Island to be eligible for support.

Proposal Format

Be as clear, and straightforward as possible in your language and presentation. Fill in all information as it pertains to you, your agency affiliation and the program or event for which you are requesting funds. In the narrative section, please format your application in 12-point type, single-spaced, with at least 1-inch page margins. Please include a budget, if applicable. To be considered, applications must be 3 pages or less. Attachments must not exceed 3 pages. Please submit 3 unbound copies of your proposal to NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND AHEC OFFICE.

Reporting Requirements

All funded programs or events are required to complete a data collection and reporting form. Dates for the submission of these forms will be determined according to the criteria/characteristics of the funded program.
